📦 What is Container Fumigation?

Container fumigation is the process of treating export shipping containers with approved fumigants to eliminate insects, larvae, eggs and other pests that could be transported to the destination country. This is a mandatory requirement for most international trade.

🧪 Fumigants We Use

Methyl Bromide (MB) — Fast-acting, broad-spectrum fumigant. Required by some countries including Australia (AQIS requirements).
Aluminium Phosphide (ALP) — Cost-effective fumigant that releases phosphine gas. Widely accepted for most destinations.

📋 Our Fumigation Process

Pre-Fumigation Inspection — Container is inspected for structural integrity, sealing capability and existing pest presence.
Loading Verification — Goods are checked and documented before fumigation begins.
Fumigant Application — Calculated dosage of fumigant is applied based on container size, commodity type and destination country requirements.
Sealing & Exposure — Container is sealed with gas-tight sheets. Exposure period ranges from 16-72 hours depending on the fumigant and requirements.
Gas Concentration Monitoring — Regular readings are taken to ensure effective concentration is maintained throughout the exposure period.
Aeration & Safety Clearance — After the required exposure, the container is ventilated until gas levels are below the safe threshold.
Certification — Official fumigation certificate is issued with all details including fumigant used, dosage, exposure time and gas readings.
